We often try to fix our inner emptiness with cheap, quick fixes rather than addressing the unexamined culture of our daily lives. The word, spiritual disciplines often carries a heavy weight or sounds like a chore. But as we’re going to discuss today, the spiritual disciplines are not an end themselves, the power is in God. However, spiritual disciplines have the opportunity to make what is invisible, visible. As we will see in our texts, spiritual disciplines may seem painful or restrictive at first, but they are designed for transformation rather than mere information. Today we will end our series by discovering how to move from a life of exhausting, chaotic routine to a structured, flourishing life by practicing the way of Jesus.
